[Resolved] PluginManager 0.4.0 Installation ProblemPosted by rwhitworth
Platform is Windows Server 2008 using IIS 7.0
Step 1: Extracted plugin manager to local drive Step 2: Copied the plugin folder that was created to the root of the mantis installation. New path is now [bugtracker.whitworth.org] Step 3: Open browser to [bugtracker.whitworth.org] Step 4: Got the following message text: PHP Notice: Undefined variable: g_skip_open_db in E:\inetpub\bugtracker.whitworth.org\plugins\pluginmanager\core.php on line 15 PHP Notice: Use of undefined constant ERROR_CONFIG_OPT_NOT_FOUND - Should browse this page:
http://.../plugins_page.php, not http://.../plugins/pluginmanager/plugins_page.php Vincent Mantis: 1.1.0, 1.1.5, 1.1.1 PHP: 5.0.4 SQL: MySQL 5.0.19 OS: Linux Please complete your signature with your environment informations. that does not work. I don't understand where that link would be trying to take me. The website is [bugtracker.whitworth.org]. This is not the default web site, it is an additional web site configured with a host header.
Should the plugins_page.php be at a different level? Here is a basic overview of the hierarchy as it stands now 1. bugtracker.whitworth.org 1. admin 2. api 3. core ----------- 10. plugins 1. pluginmanager 1. core (folder) 2. lang (folder) 3. plugins_page.php The page appears unable to find constants that are defined in the [bugtracker.whitworth.org] file. It instead appears to be looking for them in [bugtracker.whitworth.org], at least that is my guess.
ok, sorry, I missed part of your original post. So if I look at the directory structure that was created when I unzipped the file, there are files, like core\constant_inc that appear in the pluginmanager folder. If I move all of this to the root, it would overwrite the original core\constant_inc.php file and many others. Some of the included files are much smaller than the default Mantis files. Am I supposed to merge the contents of the file, taking the text from pluginmanager\core\constant_inc.php and pasting it into root\core\constant_inc.php?
You need to copy/paste the entire content of the archive in the root directory of your mantis installation and then browse the plugin_page.php located in the root directory. Nothing else to do.

Okay, I apologize, but I am still missing something. Just to clarify I took this extracted archive structure:
core (folder) lang (folder) core.php index.php info.php install_inc.php install_manual_inc.php lang_inc.php plugins_file_package_page.php plugins_install_page.php plugins_list_page.php plugins_mantis_upgrade_page.php plugins_package_page.php and copied into the root of my web site. I was prompted several times that a file already existed, such as core.php, and asked whether I wanted to overwrite. I told it to overwrite every time I got this prompt. That breaks the entire mantis site, when going to the site I now get this: PHP Notice: Undefined variable: g_skip_open_db in E:\inetpub\bugtracker.whitworth.org\core.php on line 15 PHP Warning: require_once(E:\\core\authentication_api.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in E:\inetpub\bugtracker.whitworth.org\core.php on line 20 PHP Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'E:\\core\authentication_api.php' (include_path='.;C:\php5\pear' in E:\inetpub\bugtracker.whitworth.org\core.php on line 20 plugins_page.php plugins_uninstall_page.php plugins_upgrade_page.php
Copy the entire archive means to keep all files and all directories.
Just do in the root directory: tar zxvf pluginmanager-0.4.0.tar.gz The archive contains: plugins_file_package_page.php plugins_install_page.php plugins_list_page.php plugins_mantis_upgrade_page.php plugins_package_page.php plugins_page.php plugins_uninstall_page.php plugins_upgrade_page.php plugins/pluginmanager/core/ plugins/pluginmanager/core/function_api.php plugins/pluginmanager/core/plugin_api.php plugins/pluginmanager/core/constant_inc.php plugins/pluginmanager/core/backup_api.php plugins/pluginmanager/core/install_api.php plugins/pluginmanager/core/file_api.php plugins/pluginmanager/core/function_api.php~ plugins/pluginmanager/core/xml_api.php plugins/pluginmanager/lang/ plugins/pluginmanager/lang/strings_english.txt plugins/pluginmanager/lang/strings_french.txt plugins/pluginmanager/lang/strings_russian.txt plugins/pluginmanager/lang/strings_german.txt plugins/pluginmanager/core.php plugins/pluginmanager/index.php plugins/pluginmanager/info.php plugins/pluginmanager/install_inc.php plugins/pluginmanager/lang_inc.php plugins/pluginmanager/plugins_file_package_page.php plugins/pluginmanager/plugins_install_page.php plugins/pluginmanager/plugins_list_page.php plugins/pluginmanager/plugins_mantis_upgrade_page.php plugins/pluginmanager/plugins_package_page.php plugins/pluginmanager/plugins_page.php plugins/pluginmanager/plugins_uninstall_page.php plugins/pluginmanager/plugins_upgrade_page.php plugins/pluginmanager/install_manual_inc.php Vincent Mantis: 1.1.0, 1.1.5, 1.1.1 PHP: 5.0.4 SQL: MySQL 5.0.19 OS: Linux Please complete your signature with your environment informations. Thank you. Seeing the archive structure worked for me. I used 7-Zip to extract the archive, and it did not create it that way. I rearranged the files and now the plugin page comes up, but I am getting another error. All of the tests say ok, but you see I have system warnings at the top of the page
Install/Upgrade a plugin SYSTEM WARNING: fopen(core.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied SYSTEM WARNING: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource SYSTEM WARNING: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource SYSTEM WARNING: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource SYSTEM WARNING: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource SYSTEM WARNING: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource Check packager version 0.1.0 Plugin name Plugin Manager Plugin version 0.3.0 Check the Apache version No test performed/required Check the PHP version OK Check the SQL version No test performed/required Check the Mantis version OK Check the Plugins version OK Install or Upgrade? Make sure you have this at the end of your core.php file:
If you don't have that, add it. Vincent Mantis: 1.1.0, 1.1.5, 1.1.1 PHP: 5.0.4 SQL: MySQL 5.0.19 OS: Linux Please complete your signature with your environment informations. Enable skype notification here Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/11/2008 04:21PM by deboutv.
